Promenade of Can Picafort

Can Picafort (or Ca'n Picafort) is a tourist resort on the Bay of Alcudia. Approximately in the middle there is a five-kilometer-long sandy beach on which the hotel lined up at the hotel between Port d'Alcudia in the north of the bay and Can Picafort. Only the S'Albufera Nature Reserve, which borders on about two kilometers to the bay, prevents coalescence of the two tourist resorts. The 800-hectare nature reserve provides a pleasant alternative to the neighboring tourist centers represents and is best explored using the bikes.
The place Can Picafort is completely designed for tourism. Located on the beach promenade of bars and restaurants, there is a shopping street for the day and a pedestrian zone for the evening.
Can Picafort is a place that is alive not only in the attractive tourist months. In the off season it is however much quieter and many shops are closed. The inhabitants, the main town of Santa Margalida exceeded already in the mid 1990s, and so Can Picafort has become a place of residence. The most important infrastructure facilities are here now also available.
