Banyalbufar is a small village in the Tramuntana mountains.
It has 548 inhabitants and is located on the east coast between Estellencs and Port de Calonge.
Banyalbufar was formerly a popular wine region, hence the name, which means in Arabic translated "small vineyard on the sea".
Nowadays the terraced stage boxes mainly citrus fruits and vegetables are grown.
Banyalbufar has many small and quaint cafes and restaurants, where you can usually enjoy an unique sea view.
