National Park Albufera

The "Parc Natural de s'Albufera de Mallorca" is a nature reserve in the northeast of the Spanish Balearic island of Majorca, in the region (Comarca) Pla de Mallorca.
A main reason for the establishment of the nature park was to protect the there occurring bird populations, which in s 'Albufera observed 271 different species more than two thirds of all occurring in the Balearic Islands birds make. This requires distinguishing the nesting in s'Albufera de Mallorca native birds, the territory-using as a staging migratory birds and other species occurring there, although nesting elsewhere, but fly to the Nature Park as a food source.
